Whenever you create a document, WordPerfect uses a template. The blank document that you see when you start WordPerfect is based on a standard template called wp12us.wpt. If you create a document by clicking the New Blank Document button on the toolbar (the one that looks like a blank page with the corner turned down) or by pressing Ctrl+N.
